Masjid-e-Nabawi
This is the first mosque established by the Prophet (PBUH) after his arrival in Medina. It is the second most sacred place for Muslims after Masjid-ul-Haram. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is also buried here under the green dome which has become the emblem of Masjid-e-Nabawi.
Hazrat Anas (RA) reports that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “Whoever performs forty salah in my masjid, not missing one salah in the masjid, for him is granted exemption from the fire of Hell, and exemption from punishment and he shall remain free of hypocrisy.” [Ahmad]
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “One salah offered in my masjid is superior to one thousand salahs offered in other masjids except Masjid al-Haram (Makkah al-Mukarramah).” [Bukhari]
Quba Mosque
Quba Mosque is one of the few places of religious reference in Medina. It is the second largest and most prestigious mosque in Medina after the Prophet's Mosque (PBUH). One of the oldest mosques in Medina, the sacred character of the Quba Mosque lies in the fact that it was founded by the Prophet himself after emigrating from Mecca. It is the first mosque built in Islam.
About this mosque, Ibn ‘Umar (RA) narrated: The Prophet (PBUH) used to go to the Mosque of Quba (sometimes) walking and sometimes riding. Added Nafi (in another narration), “He then would offer two Rakat (in the Mosque of Quba).”

Mount Uhud
About this mountain, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) once said,
“Uhud is a mountain that loves us and we love it”
(At-Tirmidhi).
It is located five kilometers north of Medina and is located in the same place as the battle of Uhud between Muslims and Quraysh of Makkhan, in the 3rd hijri. After the humiliating defeat of the Battle of Badr against a much smaller Muslim army, Quraysh reunites an enormous army for revenge. This place is also the burial place of Hamza (RA), the uncle of the Prophet (PBUH) and other traveling companions of the Prophet (PBUH). Currently, you will find a small market on this mountain.
Masjid Al-Ahzaab (Masjid Al-Fath)
Masjid Al-Ahzaab, located west of Jabal Sala. The place where this mosque is is the same where the enemies attacked Madinah. The Prophet (PBUH) brought Du'a here at the battle of Ahzaab and Allah sent him good news of victory. During the battle, a tunnel or trench was formed to save the Muslims. There are currently six mosques in one place, but it is the largest and, in fact, one of the best places to visit in Medina. The mosque has been built and rebuilt several times in the past.
Al-Madina Museum
Located on the road of King Abdul Aziz in the Economic City of Knowledge Madinah, it is the first and oldest museum in Madinah dedicated to the history of Islam. Masjid Al-Qiblatain
The structural design and art of this pretty mosque have a conventional motif and are also famous for their Mihrab twins and their huge prayer hall. In this mosque, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received the order of Allah (SWT) to change the Qibla from Masjid e Aqsa (Jerusalem) to Kaaba (Mecca), after which Muslims began to pray in the direction of the Kaaba. These verses of Surat al-Baqarah were revealed when the Prophet (PBUH) led his companions during prayers:
“Verily, We have seen the turning of your (Muhammad’s) face towards the heaven. Surely, We shall turn you to a Qiblah (prayer direction) that shall please you, so turn your face in the direction of Al-Masjid Al-Haram (at Makkah). And wheresoever you people are, turn your faces (in prayer) in that direction.” [Quran 2:144]

Jannat-ul-Baqi is the cemetery of Medina where are buried several companions, wives and daughters of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH). These include Hazrat Usman, Hazrat Abbas and Imam Hassan (RA). The first person to be buried in Al-Baqi was As'ad Bin Zararah (RA), a Ansari companion who died shortly after the Prophet's (PBUH) migration to Medina. The Prophet (PBUH) chose this place to be a cemetery. Uthman bin Mazoun (RA) was the first of the Muhajirun (emigrants) buried here, who died shortly after the return of the Prophet (PBUH) from the Battle of Badr.
Garden of Hazrat Salman Farsi (RA)
This is the place where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) planted three hundred date palms to free Salman Farsi (RA) from slavery. He was a Persian slave belonging to a wealthy family but sold to the slave market and taken to Yathrib (Madinah). One of the best places to travel in Medina, this garden is located near Masjid Quba. The Islamic University was founded in 1961 by the Saudi government and specializes in Islamic subjects.
